About

EMresearch.ch (notfallforschung.ch) is a collection of Swiss Emergency Medicine research literature. The aim is to create a comprehensive database of scientific articles authored by academic emergency physicians from Switzerland.

The search is weekly performed on Scopus, searching for articles based on the affiliations. We explicitly excluded other emergency specialties from the affiliations to highlight research conducted by emergency physicians in emergency departments. The search string used is: AFFIL (emergency AND department AND switzerland AND NOT (intensive OR critical OR anesth* OR anaesth* OR psych* OR radiol*)). The deduplicated results are then imported into Zotero and displayed on this page using the ZotSpip plugin. Manual screening of the list may be performed in the future to enhance accuracy.

Additionally, authors with at least four articles as the last author are listed as senior researchers in the corresponding section. Affiliations for these authors were automatically retrieved and manually adjusted when known.

This project is hosted by brunitika.ch with the aim of enhancing the visibility of Swiss academic emergency medicine. Emergency medicine should be recognized as a full specialty, which is not currently the case in Switzerland. This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts of emergency physicians to advance emergency care daily, grounded in high-quality research.
